I am not a great gift giver, I am fortunate that my wife is, it keeps us on speaking terms with some of our relatives, which is good I suppose. I only have to buy for one person and, like I said, she is a good gift giver who fortunately has put up with some real stinker gifts over the years. When I was thinking about getting her a kindle for our anniversary, I mentioned it to her ostensibly to see if she might use it, but mostly to get a sense of whether it was a decent enough gift. She reads voraciously, much more than me, I just was not sure if she would take to reading from a device instead of a book. She said she thought she might use it, and she said that maybe she should get me the same thing. I panicked a bit at first thinking she was playing me along to make me realize what an awful anniversary gift it really was, So I did what I should do more often and asked a lady friend if she thought it an okay gift for the annual celebration of nuptials. I was gratified to hear her say it was a wonderful gift. My wife knows I am a gadget guy and since I do read, she had been considering one for me.
